SUMMARY

Petex, a Fort Worth independent, is selling their Lane Chapel (Paluxy A) Unit in Smith County, Texas. The operation is a high-fluid lift property and includes 4-active producers, 2-injectors and 9-inactive wells across 849 gross acres. 2 of the wells include ESP pumps.

History:

The Lane Chapel (Paluxy A) Unit currently consists of 5 active producing wellbores making 50+ BOPD

from the Paluxy “distributary channel” found at approximately 6,500’ TVD. Associated leases

combined for more than 1.0 Mmbbls prior to unitization and waterflooding efforts that began in 1996,

and today, cumulative unit production exceeds 1.785 Mmbbls. Pressure maintenance operations are

ongoing as produced water continues to be reinjected into the reservoir.

In 2019, conventional rod pumping equipment at the #601 was replaced by an electrical submersible

pump (ESP), resulting in a ~50 bopd uplift in unit production. In 2021, a similar operation was

attempted at the #201, resulting in ~40 bopd uplift. Comparable upside remains at the #107 where

available production is limited by producing capacity, as well as the #801.
